Massage is sort of like pizza or sex. There’s no point in settling when you’ve found the best.

And, goodness, we have. Ariane Saint Martin gives the most amazing massage — maybe ever. Having created and run the massage department at Ona Spa and having hit the road with Lollapalooza as the official tour massage therapist, she’s now on her own, doing what she does best: relieving, relaxing, and healing private clients.

A former art historian, Ariane took up massage when she won tuition to a massage school. She’s used this background in everything from Rolfing to baby massage (she teaches one-on-one and group classes to parents) and developed a technique that combines the therapeutic effects of deep-tissue work with the soothing benefits of Swedish. Her knowledge of human anatomy is so remarkable you’ll swear she’s finding muscles you never knew you had (and yet are strangely tight).

The best news? Ariane makes house calls. Because a great massage is even better when you don’t have to leave the house for it.
