Everything to Grain
Mid-Century Modern Furniture

Yeah, yeah. You’ve heard the song. You know it’s true. It’s worth repeating: You can’t always get what you want.
But try telling that to any rabid retro-decor junkie. Mid-century design lovers have been known to travel vast distances to find that perfect Wegner, Dunbar, or Winchendon.
So when on the hunt for something rare and exotic, they’ll have no problem making the trip to Atwater to scout the wares at Grain. Set decorator Christian Kastner used to scour the globe in search of perfect pieces for films like Adaptation and Human Nature, and he picked up some remarkable pieces along the way. Now he’s ready to share them with you.
Names like Paul Evans and Milo Baughman are known to show up at the shop, along with other designers who’ve made So Cal’s casual coast chic.
Keep in mind, you’re more likely to find a Daniel Gluck sculpture than an average Eames. So it’s best to stop by for the things you want, rather than the things you desperately need.
Provided you can tell the difference.
Grain, 3135 Glendale Boulevard, between Glenfeliz Boulevard and Edenhurst Avenue, Atwater (323-664-3130).
