An Ode a la Z
Zanzabelle Opens

Here’s a little ditty sung to the tune of “Oh, Christmas Tree.”
Oh, Zanzabelle! Oh, Zanzabelle!
Thy well-stocked shelves are calling.
Oh, Zanzabelle! Oh, Zanzabelle!
Thy front lawn invites lolling.
Chockful of toys and vintage finds,
From France, Japan, and other lands.
Oh, Zanzabelle! Oh, Zanzabelle!
Your big giraffe’s so darling.
Oh, Zanzabelle! Oh, Zanzabelle!
Much pleasure canst thou give me.
Oh, Zanzabelle! Oh, Zanzabelle!
Why, thank you, yes, I’d love tea.
And home-baked sweets from heav’n it seems,
And Dr. Bob’s homemade ice creams.
Oh, Zanzabelle! Oh, Zanzabelle!
The five-and-ten of my dreams.
Oh, Zanzabelle! Oh, Zanzabelle!
Not one thing is unsightly.
Oh, Zanzabelle! Oh, Zanzabelle!
You’re open almost nightly.
From morn ’til dusk but not Mondays,
’Cause those are manic anyways.
Oh, Zanzabelle! Oh, Zanzabelle!
Thy future burns so brightly.
(P.S. It’s never too early to start thinking about your Xmas list.)
