The Good, the Bad, and the Bar Crowd

Saints & Sinners Opens

saints & sinners!

You say your friend Tracy is a saint, as is Jules. Max, on the other hand, is a sinner beyond redemption.

But who are you to judge? You know what you did last summer (and last weekend).

Seeing as the good and the bad occasionally want to mingle (Tracy has  always had a thing for Max), there should be some kind of neutral turf.

Like Saints & Sinners. The just-opened purgatory (of sorts) with tasty libations joins the pantheon of owner Bobby Green’s tricked-out theme bars, which includes rustic, plastic Bigfoot Lodge and Polynesian playland Lucky Tiki.

Bathed in late ’60s, swanky afterworld decor, the loungy neighborhood spot in Culver City is set to be a true guilty pleasure. Attentive angels and surprisingly helpful devils serve concoctions like Holy Water (the house martini) and Evil Dewar’s (a smoky apple martini made for the wayward).

Temptation has never been greater.

Nor giving in more satisfying.

Saints & Sinners, 10899 Venice Boulevard, Culver City (310- 842-8066).
