Going to Pot
Make Your Own Fountains

Dude, life is such a burn.
You’re, like, hanging out at home and feeling so totally chill but, at the same time, something’s missing, you know? Like, you’re cool, but your environment could be so much more smokin’.
Pot-ted — the Atwater garden store for designistas that has everything from modern concrete fountains to custom tile patio tables — can come to your rescue. Starting at less than 40 bucks, they’ll kindly help you build an in- or outdoor bamboo fountain that will take your patio, yard, office, or living room from bunk to beauteous.
How to do it: Buy a bamboo pump. (Sizes range from seven to 24 inches.) Pick out a waterproof pot to put it in. Add pebbles, marbles, or shells. Plug it in and presto: Trip out to the dulcet tones of trickling water. You can even add some aquatic plants if you’re in the mood.
Simply put, they’re dope.
Pot-ted, 3158 Los Feliz Boulevard, Atwater Village (323-665-3801 or pot-ted.com).
