Street Cred

Henry Road

oh, henry!

What’s in a name? Well, that depends on what you’re using it for.

Your soap opera pseudonym? It’s your middle name and the town where you were born. (Louise Les Bois sound about right?) Blues singer? That’s any mood plus your mom’s maiden name. (Grumpy Jackson works.)

But rather than bothering with any of that, textile designer Paula Smail (that one’s real) kept it simple when she named her sweet home collection Henry Road after the street she grew up on.

Her tablecloths, runners, napkins, throw pillows, and lavender-filled sachets fill the house with modern botanical graphics in cheery color combos. And whatever you do, try not to be too hasty when deciding between the Coffee, Tea, and Me tea-towel sets and the Woodstock Love applique pillows. After all, you don’t want to close down any avenues.

You might need them all when it’s time to pair one with your pet’s name to create your stripper alias.

(Don’t deny it, Tiger San Vicente.)
