Kimba Hills from Rumba in Santa Monica will show you. During her Speed Design sessions, she styles your place using what you already have.

After a consultation, you’ll rearrange furniture, change lighting, and maybe even hang that poster that’s sat in your hallway for six months. She’ll suggest additions (i.e., a new rug or a colorful lamp) and nicely test your attachment to questionable wares. But if you can’t fathom trashing your puce shag, speak up: Hills will never push you to part with anything you love.

And if you decide to go for a new look, she’ll walk you through her vintage/modern shop or even show up with a truck packed with stuff and redo your place from top to bottom.
