What you know about Scranton fashion could fit inside a small box. Specifically, the one you’ve been watching The Office on for the past three years.

But Lisa Hans, the show’s former makeup artist, knows way too much. And in trying to put all that beige behind her, she’s opened Violetgrace amidst a progressively sweetening strip of storefronts just east of La Brea.

The striped Frenchie exterior is about as far from cubicle frump as it gets. Once inside the cozy little neighborhood shop, you’ll find pieces from lesser-known labels like metallic Walter jackets, Bibelot cashmere tunics, and obsession-worthy Fluet baby doll frocks. Grassroots and Sharon Segal tees and Young, Fabulous & Broke leggings round out the comfy gear; don’t miss the Flora Nikrooz camis gracing the lingerie rack.

Because shrinking violets may be heroines back in Scranton.

But around here, they’d never fly.
