Daze of the Week

Aside from the occasional, completely understandable T- or S-day mix-up, days of the week undies made things pretty simple.
Applying the principle to the workweek wardrobe: the nostalgic Rowena Sartin. The fall collection from Kristin Dickson (codesigner of Souvenir) offers five distinct dresses and, like you, takes the weekend off.
Leading off, there’s Monday: sleeveless, grayish blue, and flaunting an antebellum waistline. Tuesday is a shantung or linen number with flared trumpet sleeves and skirt (not so obviously). Details like Wednesday’s exaggerated shoulder poofs and Thursday’s autumny plaid and black combination set them apart. A square neckline and layered wing sleeves add up to T.G.I.F.
To prevent a repeat of the dreaded wrong day/wrong dress snafu, the frocks are labeled only on the inside.
No one needs to know you’re wearing Friday on Monday but you.
