Tossing and Turning
Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop Opens

Your palate prefers the patio at Spago. Your inner accountant is begging for Subway.
Starting tomorrow, make them both happy at Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop, a lunch spot for the foodie who can never quite stomach the bill. Creating your own salad out of locally and organically grown produce will set you back only about $10 or so.
Tuck into a fresh, seasonal bowl or a taco-style wrap and load up on the savory side dishes such as golden beets with goat cheese, roasted white truffle potatoes, and Tuscan white beans with fried sage and Parmigiano-Reggiano for a little gastronomic refinement. A selection of boutique wines and microbrews make for a lunch of leisure.
Overwhelmed when ordering? Try chef/owner Jonathan Rollo’s creations, like the lemongrass chicken salad, the steak sandwich salad, or the Mexplosion with barbecued shrimp.
Think of it as inspiration for the salad artist within.
Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop, 9671 Wilshire Boulevard, between South Bedford and South Roxbury Drives, Beverly Hills (310-246-0756 or greenleafchopshop.com).
