Kitch and Caboodle

Kitchen 24 Opens

get kitschy!

It’s 3 a.m.

Do you know where your cheeseburger is?

Hanging out with a pile of sweet potato fries at Kitchen 24 in Hollywood. Smack in the middle of the Cahuenga Corridor, it’s the newly opened around-the-clock finer diner from the Cinespace folks.

Inside vanilla, chocolate, and cotton-candy pink accents nod to mom-and-pop shops of the ’50s, but the DJ booth tucked in the wall behind the U-shaped bar in the center remind you it’s thoroughly modern.

As much for breakfast and lunch as it is for late-night dinner, Kitchen 24 serves tuned-up American classics like steak and eggs, chicken-fried pork chops, Caesar salads, BLTs, and all kinds of burgers. Save room for individual pies served in cast-iron fry pans.

Everything on the menu’s available whenever you’d like it, save for beer, wine, and cocktails, which go on four-hour break from 2 to 6 in the morning.

Which may bring on the shakes.

Milk shakes, that is.

Kitchen 24, 1608 North Cahuenga Boulevard, between Selma Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood (323-465-2424 or
