Sugar High Hopes
Bakesale Baked Goods

Overpriced lemonade and charred cookie bottoms aside, there’s only one real problem with bake sales: They end.
Not if sisters Chrissy Martin and Jen Boehle and their cousin Katy Barnes have anything to say about it. Bakesale, their new made-to-order treats operation, is open when you need it to be.
The trio has a sweet way with the classics: oatmeal cookies, toffee bars, decadent Bundt cakes (banana with cream cheese frosting and walnuts, lemon with buttercream), cupcakes like yellow with fudge or chocolate chip stuffed with whipped cream.
And they’ve concocted original sugary bites of their own: rocky road or s’mores brownies; penuche spice cake topped with maple brown sugar; and notorious H Bark, a combination of graham cracker, chocolate, toffee, and the occasional candy bar bit or cookie crumb that’s so addicting it’s named after heroin.
Though if company asks, you might want to add an E.
After all, these ladies have saved the day.
