If the thought of planning her next birthday party makes your heart race (and not in a good way), we’ve got ideas to help take the edge off.
The TSNY Beantown trapeze school (inside Jordan’s Furniture Entertainment Rotunda, 50 Walkers Brook Drive, Reading; 781-942-7800) will have little monkeys swinging through the air with the greatest of ease. One- or two-hour parties focus on just the trapeze, or choose the Circus Stars package for juggling and other tricks.
In a nice role reversal, make the kids crawl the walls at MetroRock Indoor Rock Climbing Center (40 Parker Street, Newburyport; 978-499-7625). A two-hour party includes a private room, climbing equipment, and instructors (rope holders) to keep an eye on the crowd.
If you’d rather stay put, hire Captain Cane (781-990-3489) to entertain in your home. His custom treasure hunt parties come complete with pirate hats, compasses, tattoos, and face painting.
No more walking the plank.
