GHOSTS
Don’t be frightened by ghosts of holidays past, find new spooks at the Safe Streets Halloween Haunted House, this Friday (Gibson-Bethel Community Center, 5800 Southwest 66th Street, South Miami; 305-668-7232). The celebration continues Saturday when The Shops at Sunset Place (5701 Sunset Drive, South Miami) hand out candy, 3-6 p.m.
GROWLS
It’s a doggone family affair at the Kids & Dogs Halloween bash, Saturday, 2-6 p.m. Outfit Fido and the kiddos for costume contests, boo-gie down to the DJ, and trick-or-treat until your jack-o’-lantern runneth over (CocoWalk, 3015 Grand Avenue, Coconut Grove; 305-444-0777 ext. 14).
