Hot Diggity Dog
Seattle
November 16, 2009

Not everyone wishes they were an Oscar Mayer weiner. That is not what everyone wants to be.

But if everyone were a Po Dog weiner, everyone would be in love with themselves.

The Hill’s new haute dog stand offers deep-fried pepper-bacon-wrapped frankfurters, peanut-butter- and banana-topped weenies, and wasabi franks wrapped in an egg roll. Choose all-beef kosher or veggie dogs surrounded by a Macrina brioche bun. Fries, homemade Argentinean potato chips, and beer sate late-night cravings.

And twenty types of fixings range from the exotic (pico de gallo, sport peppers) to solid standbys like kraut and tomatoes.

Take a seat amid the highly stylized black and white surroundings in secluded booths or at the quartz bar.

The decor alone puts it in the weiners’ circle.
