A Miami Native Debuts KillDarling Dresses

You Can See Right Through It

fantasyland dresses!

You blame your unhealthy romantic relationships and affinity for personifying animals on your childhood obsession with fairy tales.

But for Sam Klemick, fantasyland is the inspiration for her debut collection, KillDarling (metareading, anyone?), a whimsical assortment of cotton candy-hued dresses. After graduating from L.A.’s Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, the Coconut Grove native worked under a Guess dress designer before striking out on her own.

Most of the nine-piece collection consists of silks and sheers with ruffles, frayed hemlines, and steel-spiked buttons. Klemick also provides formfitting tube dresses (in black, white, or beige with a pink gun and bow print) as a base layer for the see-through tunic, maxi, and flowy minis.

Although, in this Magic City, layering with a swimsuit may be more realistic.

Available online at killdarlingsam.com, $45-$250.
