If you were to judge every book by its cover, there’s no way you would have made it through Everyone Poops.
The same goes for Karen Keith Designs’s newly opened jewelry studio, down a sterile, white hallway in downtown high-rise One Flagler.
The hidden showroom is decorated with items she’s gathered on her travels through middle America and Europe, like a wicker and wood wheelchair, recycled-lumber display cases, and an old horn record player.
Inspired by the unexpected, the former stylist creates one-of-a-kind necklaces, bracelets, and earrings from vintage curiosities (Swiss Army knives, glass rosary beads, keys) and amalgamated industrial elements (chains, rusted metals). Currently on display is her summer collection ($40-$300), which is a balance of regal elegance and Gothic mystery.
Sounds like the making of a page-turner.
