Miami Made Festival
What: New work by ten artists living in or inspired by Miami, plus concerts and a photo exhibition, all related to the theme When the Sun Goes Down.
Why: The Miami premiere of Rosie Herrera’s dance piece, Dining Alone: Act 2, music by The Hongs, and Mark Della Ventura’s one-man show, Small Membership.
When: Thru Sun.
Where: The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Carnival Studio Theater, 1300 Biscayne Blvd. Priority access passes ($35) online at arshtcenter.org.

It Girl Lifestyle Shopping Expo
Navigate 3,000 square feet of shopping, snacks, DJs, raffle prizes, a beauty bar, and more.
Why: Girls just want to have fun and free drinks.
When: Today, VIP entrance, 5:30 p.m.; general admission, 6:30 p.m.

Namaste Indian Restaurant
What: A new, family-run Indian joint in the MiMo District offers veggie and cheese samosas, palak paneer (cheese cubes in a spicy spinach puree), butter chicken, and lamb rogan josh.
Why: Work up an appetite beforehand by scoring steals next door at The Consignment Bar.
When: Mon.-Sat., 11 a.m.-3 p.m. & 5-10 p.m.

Water Taxi Miami
Forget sightseeing; these yellow boats shuttle up to 38 passengers between four docking points from Miami to Miami Beach in about 30 minutes.

Miami International Film Festival
What: More than 100 films from across the globe (zombie fare, comedies, thrillers, and more).
