Evo Tapas Kitchen & Cabaret Opens
What: Todd Nordahl debuts his Social-adjoined eatery/nightclub.
Why: Short-cut spareribs, spicy crushed-chickpea empanadas, and pistachio-crusted mascarpone cheese tarts with red-grape relish.
When: Daily, 3 p.m.-2 a.m.

Mobile Food Rodeo
What: Thirty-five of the city’s favorite food trucks converge for this belly-busting event.
Why: Get your first taste of Jemil’s Big Easy or snack on favorites from Maximus Minimus, Hallava Fallafel, Skillet Street Food, and Adria Shimada’s sweet spot, Parfait.
When: Sun., noon-7 p.m.

May Edible Plant Sale
What: Scout more than 350 varieties of rare, heirloom, organic, and locally acclimated plants at Seattle Tilth’s annual sale.
Why: Buy individual plant starts or pick up a Garden to Go (a tray of preselected plants with themes like Summer Hits and Farm in the City).
When: Sat. & Sun., 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
