My dearest Rick,
I’ve thought of you often since that night on the runway. I need to see you, and I know just the place.
Bar Stella, the romantic new extension of Silver Lake’s Cafe Stella, evokes the charms of our cherished Casablanca.
Pendant lights and intricate lamps cast shadows on the dark wood walls and marble-top bar. Distressed plaster and exposed brick adorned with avian portraiture and an African warrior mask transport habitues to a Moroccan speakeasy.
We’ll sip classic shaken cocktails, uncommon draft beers (Three Philosophers Quadrupel, Hitachino Nest White Ale), and rare bourbon served by dapper bartenders in white jackets (much like your own) as we wander onto the checkered patio with candle lanterns and pillowed benches.
Inside we’ll find comfy divans and plush poufs for lovers reunited.
Tell me you’ll come. Maybe not today, but how about tomorrow?
Yours,
Ilsa
