Sip Prohibition-Era Cocktails at OddFellows Speakeasy

Spread the word about this members-only SoBe joint

You’re something of a nightlife Goldilocks — dive bars push you to the brink of sobriety and mega dance clubs turn you into a wallflower.

Find a late-night haunt that’s just right at OddFellows, a new members-only speakeasy soft opening this week.

Tucked inside the Plymouth Hotel and furnished entirely with vintage pieces, the dimly lit lounge harkens back to the heyday of art deco with touches like a glittering chandelier and reception desk-cum-bar complete with mail cubbyholes.

The old-timey cocktail program puts a fresh spin on classic drinks, such as the gingerbread Old Fashioned; a mezcal Blood and Sand; and The Aviation, a refreshing blue concoction made with gin, lemon juice, Luxardo maraschino liqueur, and creme de violette.

The bar has a strict no-cell-phone policy, but guests are free to use the Clicquot confessional — the Plymouth’s original phone booth. Reveal your deepest desires to a recorder on the other end to be played in the restrooms on a later visit.

Your secrets won’t go beyond these walls.
