Fill Your Carry-On at The Weekender

Make a fashionable getaway

the weekender!

Your typical jeans-and-tee getup won’t cut it on vacation.

Set off in sartorial splendor with help from The Weekender boutique, brimming with getaway-inspired clothes and accessories.

If sister store Beach, in Sunset Harbour, is the retail equivalent of Manhattan (with its furs, designer cashmere, and high-end labels), then this Upper Eastside outpost is Brooklyn, focusing on up-and-coming brands, handcrafted accessories, and capsule collections.

The neutral-tone space — punctuated with pops of peach and pastels — is warm, cozy, and smells faintly of Joya’s porcelain-scented candles and the Brooklyn-made artisanal fragrances on display. Owner Patricia Costa composes the racks with the jet-setting local in mind. Think Skin’s organic cotton shirts, Riller and Fount’s draped jersey sheaths, and LoveShackFancy’s billowy maxis.

Shopping for a last-minute trip? Stop by on Wednesdays when “brow queen” Laura Di Niro (of the Brow Shoppe) holds court, shaping and tweezing at the chaise in the store’s front window.

Off you go.
