The Long and Short of It

Once upon a time, there was a princess with the cutest Mia Farrow ’do.

She loved her short cut but soon realized she had no back-up plan for getting suitors into her high tower after hours. (The king was strict about curfew.)

So she went to Rapunzel, where owner Lady Cy Cook and her coif-coddling court specialize in such royal treatments as thermal straightening and hair extensions. She plucked a Blow Pop from the candy dish and said hello to her friend Lady Sofia Von Rosebottom, who was getting the Diva Curl treatment for her unruly tresses.

With her new augmented mane bouncing behind her, the princess patted pups Saki (who sports multicolored hair extensions in his tail) and Knuckles the Wonder Pug, promising to return for one of the salon’s theme days or a soon-to-be-offered airbrush tan. After all, she figured, when you’re a princess, you should always pay close attention to your appearance.

You never know when you might need to let down your hair.
