Goldilocks and the Three Terriers

Goldilocks was a mischievous pup. She enjoyed chewing, chasing, and, most of all, digging.

Off she went out her secret hole, right through the neighbor’s doggy door. Three tiny beds caught her eye. They must have been for Mama, Papa, and Baby, the Mills’s three Jack Russells.

The first one was way too hard. The next, too soft. But the third? Just right. This must be the Hot Cool Dog Cat futon, she thought, the one hand-batiked in the Caribbean and comfier than any of those Swedish foam deals.

She was still admiring it when the trio of terriers returned from their outing. Goldi hightailed it back home, vowing to get an HCDC bed of her own. Not to mention a pair of their cute leg warmers and maybe, if she was feeling nice, some organically grown T-nip for Whiskers. But for now, all Goldi could think about was that cozy futon.

She was, after all, dog tired.
