The Right Stuff
Lars Bolander

Your first cocktail party of the season was a raging success; friends oohed and aahed over your ultra-minimal decor. But you’re over it. New motto: More is more.
So go see Lars Bolander, who opened shop this summer in the Design District, and let the antique dealer and dapper decorator be your personal style guru. His shop has a decidedly uptown vibe with a cool mix of worldly antiques that could lend an air of instant elegance to any room.
Bolander stocks amazing rarities from Europe, Asia, and South America: linen pillows hand-embroidered with coral plants, sleek lacquer boxes, and white resin candle holders shaped like tree branches.
The Stockholm-trained designer handles many different artists and is known to throw the occassional party in their honor. Consider it the perfect reason to party for art.
And to pick up some art for the party.
