Sneak Peek

Soles Inc. Opens

you've got sole!

When it comes to kicks, you’ve always run from convention. The brighter, the shinier, the less practical, the better.

Luckily, Soles Inc. shares your sneaker sentiments. The new minimalist shoe shop stocks rare and limited-edition brands from the East Coast to the Far East.

Owner Kenichiro Konomi offers a worldly mix, with sneaks from China (red and white LeBron James Nikes in a wooden box), Tokyo (block color low-tops by A Bathing Ape — super hot right now in Japan), and New York (Spike Lee Air Jordans).

The other half of the store is dedicated to Japanese trading cards and toys, including Bruce Lee figurines, Star Wars characters, and anime. Images from famed Tokyoite photographer Yoshimitsu Takano adorn the walls.

Everything is neatly lined on hanging shelves, leaving plenty of space in the middle.

Should you want to take a walk on the wild side.

Soles Inc., 235 12th Street, Miami Beach (305-532-7653).
