We don’t let the bus back in (despite the bumper sticker pleading us to do so). Couldn’t tell you where the nearest Metrorail station is. (Train? What? Where?) And when it comes to road construction, our motto seems to be “The more the merrier.”
Miami and transportation aren’t exactly BFFs.
That said, you’ll want to make nice with The Transit Boutique. You’ll have to brave the urban jungle to get there — construction, an entrance located in a soon-to-be-renovated seedy motel — but the effort is well worth it.
Owners Eric and Margaretha Silverman are fashion veterans — the former president of Hugo Boss and Dolce & Gabbana, and Transit clothing (hence the name) rep, respectively. So it’s little shock that the all-white, chandelier-dotted shop is stocked with international brands for both sexes. Luxuriously soft tees, linen trousers, and chic Italian boots and sandals are guaranteed to stop traffic.
Theoretically speaking, of course.
The Transit Boutique, The Vagabond Motel, 7301 Biscayne Boulevard (305-754-2866).
