You encourage bad drivers to do better (four-letter words seem to work best), enforce the one-per-person rule on Krispy Kreme day at work (Janice is in OA), and always opt for the closest parking spot (the gift of physical fitness).
Me Day Spa thinks you deserve a break from all that benevolence. The renovated cottage on Alton, tucked behind taco shop Lime, packs a lot of primping into its cozy space.
Under vaulted ceilings and exposed beams: mani/pedi stations, a hair salon, and three facial rooms. Their special carotene treatment will leave your hair nourished and glossy, while the spa’s facialist does everything from glycolic treatments to mango peels with expert skill.
The spa also features several lines of skin care products, scented soy candles, beach mats, journals, and other self-indulging goodies — all of which make perfect gifts.
Though you might want to stay away from the Cleavage Cupcakes — Mom didn’t exactly love the padded bra for her birthday.
