Daddy: What does my princess want for her sixteenth birthday?

Princess: Only the most unforgettable party in the history of parties.

D: Anything, Pumpkin.

P: It’s got to be better than Britney’s. She rode up to the Shore Club on a jet ski with Usher. I want mine at Tottem — it’s Karu&Y’s event space and it just opened, like, five minutes ago.

D: Consider it booked, Buttercup.

P: Get that Jay-Z video director to shoot the party — we can project it on the waterfalls. Then get an advance copy of Spiderman 3 to show on the plasma TVs, and get Juicy’s fall line for the catwalk. And call Justin — there’s a stage with his name on it. Are you writing this down?

D: What about food, Cupcake?

P: Um, hello, it’s Karu&Y. Tenderloin flatbread tapas, a raw bar cart, a risotto station, signature cocktails …

D: Nonalcoholic, right?

P: Oh, Daddy. Don’t be such a buzz kill.
