Metal of Honor
Mushka Jewelry

You know the scene: “He’s a Dream” plays in the background. Jennifer Beals is welding some big piece of metal, sparks are flying. Then she’s off, soon to meet the man of her dreams and show off her sweet moves.
That’s kind of how we picture Sarah Wilson. She may not cut the collar out of sweatshirts or bust out the quadruple pirouette, but she does know how to work a bit of metal. And not just into, um, whatever Beals made but a choice piece of jewelry.
A recent SoCal transplant, Wilson just opened her studio and store, Mushka Designs, in the Design District. Her simple yet detailed forms reflect her love for metalworking and nature, as each of her collections — Earth, Blossom, Nightfall, and Slate — contains abstract leaves, orbs, and tree branches in silver, red brass, 14-karat gold, and bronze.
You’ll wear her meticulously crafted necklaces, bracelets, and earrings forever.
What a feeling.
