Stem Fatale
Alejandro Ingelmo Shoes

Runaround Sue. Sweet Caroline. Dirty Diana.
Some girls just have a reputation.
Of course, some girls are asking for it. Like the women of shoe designer Alejandro Ingelmo, who treats sophisticated stems like ladies: with care and attention to detail.
Renee, a patent leather peep toe, loves to step out in style, while Rachel — with her flat heel, crisscross suede, and gold piping — is a shoe-in for a Lincoln Road stroll. Then there’s Courtney. Platform sole, straps up to there, stiletto heel: There’s no doubt she walks the walk.
Take comfort in the fact that Ingelmo is a fourth generation shoemaker (great gramps was a cobbler in Spain), and one of the Miami native’s inspirations for his spring line was the Magic City itself, which means bright colors like turquoise and sour apple green, plenty of ventilation, and a style that’s deliciously flirty.
Which will certainly please Sexy Sadie.
Available at Intermix, 634 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach (305-531-5950).
