The Things She Carried

Posse Handbags

giddy up, girl!

Dear Cleadus,

Miami sure does give new meaning to the phrase “Southern hospitality.”

When your little buttermilk biscuit was leaving the beach, a nice young woman (who was wearing less clothes than your cousin after a shift at the Double D Wide) offered to trade handbags. She took the NASCAR tote and handed over a pretty leather thing from a line called Possé. Thought it was a perfect name, seeing how you’re always saying all we girls ever do is travel ’round in one.

The designer, Andrea Possé, was reared right here in South Florida, and it was her auntie in Colombia who inspired her to go into fashion. Her bags are made of exotic leathers like lambskin and goatskin (now don’t go trying to eat my purse, Cleadus) and come in colors like cognac and olive.

The Juliana has braided handles, and the Natalie clutch has a leopard lining.

Kind of like the seats in your Ford pickup. Grrrr!

Kisses and grits,
Misty
