Fine Vining
Bacchus Wine Bar Opens

Aphrodite? Besides looking great in white, you and the goddess of love don’t have much in common these days. (You’re just happy if dude doesn’t show up wearing mandals.)
But Bacchus? There’s a deity you identify with. Bold and peppery one minute, light and floral the next, this god knows how to have a good time.
It’s no surprise, then, that Eduardo Calderon and Rocio Perez named their new South Miami wine bar after the lord of the vine. The couple opened Bacchus out of their shared love for wine, and each bottle — from the Malbecs to the Vouvray — was hand-picked by them. There’s also a tapas menu (all plates meticulously created by Eduardo, who is also a nutritionist), live jazz on Fridays, and tastings every Thursday.
They’ll soon start offering wine classes as well, so you can brush up on your vino vernacular. Bin? Balance? Body?
It’s all Greek to you.
