J’aimerais un croque monsieur et des pommes frites, s’il vous plaît.
Only the French could make a ham and cheese sandwich and fries sound fancy. Not to mention any other dish usually found in a food court.
Which is why you just might feel the need to dress up when heading to La Rotisserie, a new bistro in Surfside specializing in everyone’s favorite fowl: poulet. And although you won’t need to bust out the heels, this resto is no Kenny Rogers knock off.
Owners (and sisters) Sarah and Sabah grew up in Paris, so when they moved to Miami Beach, they decided to bring along a favorite delicacy: rotisserie chicken.
The birds are all natural and flame roasted, and each comes with gravy, Dijon mustard, or garlic mayo. Other tasty French fare includes the jambon beurre (ham, Gruyere, and cornichons on a buttered baguette), the chevre chaud (salad topped with grilled goat cheese on toast), and tartines for breakfast.
That’s toast and jam to you.
