Roma Where You Want To
Roma Organic Gelato Opens

Check cookies for trans fats.
Sip fair trade coffee.
Say no to designer bottled water shipped from halfway around the world.
The burden of correctness weighs heavy when it comes to indulgences.
Which is why you’ll positively melt for Roma Organic Gelato. Owners Roberto Rocca and Mauro Sirotti are Italian, but every ingredient is sourced from within the United States. Best of all, everything’s 100 percent organic, from the berries to the citrus, milk, sugar, chocolate, and nuts.
With less than 35 percent air, the gelato is flawlessly creamy, so nothing comes between you and the 75 percent cacao chocolate, the achingly rich dulce de leche, or the refreshing lemon. The pistachio is practically chewy, and the crema Inglese with amaretto cookie crumbs is a spoonful of nirvana.
All the gelato is made fresh daily on the premises — a lofty, laboratory-clean space with a sky blue ceiling and floor tiles that look like green grass.
Finally, heaven meets earthiness.
Roma Organic Gelato, 901 South Miami Avenue, in Mary Brickell Village (786-252-5276).
