Remember when Dad drove to a construction site in Orlando and told you Disney World must’ve been torn down? Or the time Mom hid all the Christmas presents and said Santa must’ve forgotten to stop?

You know how it feels to go from elation to disappointment faster than you can say “ho, ho, ho.” Which is why you know the importance of programs like Edda’s Cake Designs’s new Birthday Blessings. Each month, the bakery partners with His House Children’s Home, a nonprofit organization that provides a home-style setting for abused and neglected children. Together they throw a party for the kids who are celebrating a birthday that month.

You can help by suggesting other charities or — better still — making a donation to help Edda’s keep needy children in birthday cakes, decorations, and refreshments.
