Pop Goes the Shop
Luminaire X Pop-Up Shop

Generally speaking, you’re not a fan of teamwork.
Not after Maria from sales claimed that the Tinkle Sprinkle Honor System was her idea.
But you’ll sing a different tune after visiting Luminaire X, the new pop-up shop in the Design District. Springing up for just two months, it’s an amalgamation of favorite local stores — like Wal-Mart with a soul.
For the literary, there’s Books & Books, contributing with author signings and limited-edition volumes, including David LaChapelle’s Artists and Prostitutes. BASE also makes an appearance, accompanied by a rotating collection of designers and exclusive new lines, like Luis Morais jewelry (available for preorder).
Once your wallet’s empty, fill your mind with film screenings, photography, and music. There’s also a coffee shop, flower stand, and Wi-Fi lounge.
It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood.
Luminaire X, Northeast 41st Street and Northeast 2nd Avenue, Design District (305-438-1701 or luminairex.com). Open Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., and Second Saturdays, 6-9 p.m. Through April 31.
