Talking ’Bout a Revolution
Miriam Ocariz Spring Collection

The Casual Pact of ’84 stated: Miami attire should exceed neither tank tops nor flip-flops (sans heels).
And peace reigned throughout the land.
Until the Europeans, with their stylish wears and sexy accents, invaded.
If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em — in Spanish designer Miriam Ocariz’s spring collection, sprinkled with old-world flair.
The decidedly unsimple line is full of couture whimsy: pouched pockets, puff sleeves, ruffles. The intricate, hand silk-screened prints combine fabric and illustration. A hand-knit white shirt has cap sleeves and a sweet bow. The white pleats of a silver-gray halter vest mold to the bust.
We like the blue chiffon dress. The three tiers, big-bowed neckline, and elaborate heron print give it a unique look.
Some might even call it revolutionary.
