“This spring Miami will turn a fashion corner. We’ll see understated colors and low-key looks,” reports trendologist Anita Klue.
Klue, who graduated pseudo cum laude from The University of Springfield, claims, “Color is dead.”
DailyCandy editors confronted Klue outside her Kendall apartment. Citing new clutches from Violet New York City, we asked, “How could you predict a monochromatic spring when clearly color is all the rage?” As proof, we presented the Manhattanite, a layered-leather clutch in jazzy metallic hues: purple, gray, gunmetal, pink, champagne, and black.
Anita’s husband, Noah Klue, came to her defense, arguing, “One bag does not a trend make.” But his claim was shot down by the VIP bag (a metallic blue mini tote) and the Spotlight (a classic clutch in shimmery pewter or black leather).
At this point, Klue blamed her mistake on her mentor, Nicky Formed, and admitted that the Violet bags were indeed “glitzy.”
Miss N. Formed had no comment.
