Jolie Opens

ooh la la!

You were devastated when Daddy left on a business trip — until he came home with a pile of foreign schwag. (That Nicaraguan rainbow scrunchie scored huge in fifth grade.)

Don’t depend on Dad: Find worldly garb at the newly opened Jolie boutique in sunny Coral Gables.

With lavender walls, sleek white furniture, and a giant mirror, the ultra-fem shop embodies its French name.

The all-star lineup of South American designer goods includes Argentine Karina Grimaldi’s long silk dresses, Palmarosa swimwear, and Limon Piel leather bags (the braided straps are made by a Colombian Indian tribe).

Jolie also carries homegrown favorites (Voom tops, Yoana Baraschi dresses, Public Library tees) and exotic accessories, like a chunky tagua seed necklace and a colorful ceramic and leather bracelet — both handmade in Colombia.

Now all you need is Poppa’s plastic.

Jolie, 1546 South Dixie Highway, Coral Gables (305-667-4850).
