Wedding Dress

San & Soni Dresses

Mommy, where do dresses come from?

Well, Sweetie, first a man and woman meet at the Fashion Institute of Technology and fall in love. Then they get married and start to, um, design together.

Five years later a stork comes, carrying their new line called San & Soni (nicknames for husband and wife Inderjeet and Sonali Singh).

The sophisticated collection of dresses mixes cotton and high-quality silk with complicated hemlines, unusual shapes, and detailed embellishments.

You’ll look like a post-modern princess in a peach shift with short Cinderella puff sleeves and a pleated bodice. A black, sweetheart-neck mini affects a bubble hem with ruching. A pale green frock’s futuristic bent (cap sleeves, dangerously low neckline) is offset by its pastel hue.

Huh?

You’ll understand when you’re older.
