G Whiz

G Lounge Opens

hit the g spot!

You’ve always wanted your own harem. Was it the naked bodies catering to your every whim?

Nope. It was the opium.

Kidding. You just like 19th-century Moroccan decor. So nuzzle into the colorful billowing draperies, low tables, and plush sofas of G Lounge, the new tapas restaurant upstairs from the Upper Eastside Garden.

The menu includes revamped international classics like scallop ceviche, soft shell crab with Greek yogurt, prosciutto-wrapped peaches, and lobster potato skins with chipotle aioli. For dessert, there’s a crème brulée trio (chai tea hits the spot). Along with wine and beer, you can also try fruit-infused sake like lychee, peach, and strawberry.

To match the dreamy look of the lounge, the garden will get a makeover with locally grown plants and table service. But don’t worry, they’re keeping it affordable.

It’s not like you’re the Sultan of Brunei.
