Grass has suffered a bad rap. It’s always greener somewhere else, and no one ever wants to watch it grow.
Here to give grass a much-needed PR makeover is Gaucho Ranch.
The local beef company offers everything from strip steaks to rib eyes in cute Western-themed boxes (some even come with a video: how to throw the perfect Argentine BBQ). The idea arose when Argentine Pablo Liberato, who grew up on grass-fed beef, decided to bring high-quality meat to the States.
After several research trips to South America, he found the Canelones district in Uruguay. The family-run farm allows about 150,000 square feet of land per cow, and an all-grass diet means less saturated fat and more nutrients (omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins A and E) than their corn-fed brethren.
Which might lead you to find something else in it.
Splendor.
