Cabana One Opens

This session of the Coconut Grove Business Bureau is called to order. Last meeting, we brainstormed ideas to draw crowds to the Grove. Mr. Wiener suggested women in bikinis. Mrs. Wiener suggested alcohol.

I’m pleased to announce you’ll find both at Cabana One, which opens softly tomorrow.

Atop the Mayfair Hotel, the lounge overlooks Biscayne Bay. The beach set will love the 50-foot pool flanked by queen-size chaises. For those who prefer indoor sports, there are seven private cabanas (complete with flat-screen TVs and Wii access).

No pool party is complete without fruity cocktails, which you’ll find at the 35-foot bar (the Miami Hurricane packs a punch). And, lest we forget, the food: Along with a full raw bar, there’s American fare like coconut shrimp, chicken wings, and burgers.

Sure to satisfy young Anna Wiener’s suggestion.
