Walk the Linen
The Guayabera Lady Boutique Opens

After moving to Miami, you learned to love midday cafecitos and the word “chanchi.”
But it took time to warm up to men in jewelry and linen shirts. (“They’re called guayaberas, mi amor.”)
Get down with the style at new Coral Gables storefront The Guayabera Lady. Third-generation retailer Berta R. Bravo has dedicated her shop to the traditional Cuban attire (linen shirts with large pockets and two rows of thin pleats).
Upon entering the intimate space, adorned in unique Cuban art and memorabilia, expect a hug and an espresso. The guayaberas come in all sizes, colors, and styles, from classic long-sleeve shirts and dresses to sexy strapless and bustier designs. Also available are handcrafted purses made of cigar boxes by Mariofe Designs.
If the shirt doesn’t fit, Bravo can customize it for you. Because not everyone has Cuban curves.
Though Miami sells those, too.
