Lace Beauty Lab Opens

Some superheroes fly. Others shoot bolts of lightning from their palms. But the Miami Wonder has a unique power: transforming from beach babe to gala girl in mere hours.

Her secret lair: Lace Beauty Lab, where Anna Elizabeth (of Lace Nail Lab) fights nemesis limp hair, evildoer oily skin, and archenemy nothing to wear — all in one fell swoop.

Designed by Doug Meyer, the space, opening today, combines the old-school glamour of Miami circa 1950 with Mediterranean and Moroccan accents. Each area is lit differently, according to its mission (blowouts, facials, massages, makeup application), and there’s a lounge and dressing room where heroes can slip into costume (unitard, cape, La Perla swimwear).

The Lab also carries an arsenal of secret weapons: clothing, accessories, vintage shoes, candles, and beauty products.
