Save that random Fresh Prince of Bel Air party last year, you rarely have the chance to break out the old prep school blazer.
Which is why you’ll be delighted to learn (get it? Learn?) that school’s in session at the University of Wynwood.
Housed in the Brikolodge work space, UW was inspired by NYC’s Cedar Tavern, where creative spirits like Jackson Pollock and Jack Kerouac used to hang out and wax philosophical. Or just pound a few.
You can do the same, as each course, which is more of a discussion led by a guest “professor,” is followed by booze consumption. UW’s spring semester focuses on Miami’s recent cultural progress, and future lecturers come from the Miami World Cinema Center, Locust Projects, and the Miami Art Museum.
The best part: This higher education is entirely free.
