Some things — like laughing babies — seem delectable online but turn out to be uninteresting IRL. (That’s “in real life” for you attractive people.)

But Cupcakes Nouveau won’t disappoint.

The beloved local bakers just added a brick-and-mortar outpost to their online sweet shop — so you can see the pretty pastries in person.

The couture confections take inspiration from the runways with flourishes like ribbons, flowers, and bows. Savor Coconut No. 5 (shoutout, Chanel) with its Swiss meringue buttercream frosting or the classic Moulin Rouge, red velvet cake topped with cream cheese.

Cupcakes Nouveau specializes in wow-worthy fondant toppings (elephants for a kid’s party, martini glasses for a bachelorette). And their custom cupcake stands make a plain old cake look stupid.

Kind of like lolcats.
