Suzy Smile: I’m live at the premiere of Dubious with Kate Clark, who plays a schizophrenic FBI profiler. Kate, who are you wearing?

Kate: It’s a new line called Alexis. The designer, 22-year-old Alexis Barbara, is a model/socialite from Miami.

Suzy: It’s so romantic. I love the ruffled, off-the-shoulder neckline.

Kate: She uses the same colorful zigzag fabric on a V-neck minidress with draped sleeves and a waist sash. I adore the maxis in the lush Jackson Pollocky print. There are also sexy silk pieces like a cream jumper and a revealing racer-back top.

Suzy: Speaking of sexy, I hear you had a bit of an on-set romance.

Kate: [forced laugh] The only thing I’m falling for is Alexis’s retro-inspired swimwear.

Suzy: We’ll keep an eye out for that — and your turn as Wave, a seafaring cyborg in next month’s Water Vapor.
