Wynwood Social Club Opens

Before you discovered hard liquor and infidelity, there were the good old days downstairs at Derek’s house, drinking schnapps and playing spin the bottle.

Relive your youth at the Wynwood Social Club. Designed to look like a basement, the retro reincarnation charges a $10 cover to listen to live music and BYOB (convenient, now that you have a real ID).

Tomorrow night, Afro-Cuban band Oriente plays. Future entertainment includes movies, bingo, and karaoke. Take Natty Light to pair with a canteen snack (chips and such) or import cocktails from Joey’s across the street.

The eggshell chairs, rainbow palette, and vintage tablecloths make the space look like a spiffy Cold War bunker. And the decor — art, books, and furniture — is all for sale.

The clubhouse is open Saturdays, 8 p.m.-1 a.m.

So you’ll be home by curfew.
